Position Overview

Primary Purpose of Position

On a daily basis, assists ACIT Program Manager in administrative functions of the Institute. Plans, analyzes and coordinates daily activities, data management, consultation, marketing, and/or business administrative duties. Program areas of assignment may include one or more of the following: program/facilities coordination and administration, program development, delivery and marketing, pre- or post-grant administration, and small business development. Work involves developing and maintaining productive collaborative work relationships and assessing and responding to client needs.

Primary Function of Organizational Unit

The Office of Research Services and Project Management helps faculty researchers develop competitive proposals and resubmissions for external funding. Its services include management of limited submissions, advice on proposal development based on best practices, expert advice on budget preparation, location of needed resources, and help with project management.

Duties

Participates in establishing policies and implements them as they relate to programs; Plans and manages the preparation of articles, proposals, reports, and educational materials for publication;
Participates in the evaluation and selection of seminar topics, instructional materials, and speakers; as well as the planning of scheduled events and outreach activities;

Required Competency Budget Management
Duties

Assists in preparing budgets and monitors expenses for programs;
Assists in managing and monitoring functions related to financial accounting and administration of the institute; Works with Office of Contracts and Grants on budgeting functions related to accepted practices
for fiscal management of the institute;

Required Competency Financial Management
Duties

Assists in the preparation of the monthly, quarterly, and annual federal financial reports for the
institute Director’s review and submission to sponsor; Assists in monitoring and reporting of any sub-awards.
