High school diploma or equivalency and one year of experience in the field of technology related to the area of assignment; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.

Preferred Years Experience, Skills, Training, Education

High School diploma or equivalent and at least five years of experience in administering and supporting CSGold and Micros systems.

Certificate or formal CSGold training.

Position Overview

Primary Purpose of Position

The Technology Support Technician is responsible for managing mission critical information systems for the University’s Aggie OneCard office. This responsibility includes administering The ID Card system, CSGold system and Micros systems.

Primary Function of Organizational Unit

The Aggie OneCard Office is responsible for providing a universal card used for
identification, library use, meal card, debit account, door access, etc. This office is the primary location and contact for all users of the Aggie OneCard; these users include, but are not limited to faculty, staff, students, parents, deans , department heads and others. This office provides a single resource for the NC A&T community to receive a multifunction card. This office also provides a resource for parents, students, faculty and staff.

Work Hours 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Duties

Administer and support the CSGold and Micros systems. Knowledgeable with CSGold processes, report creation, import and export processes,
Additionally, this position is responsible for configuring devices that connects to the CSGold and Micros systems. These devices include controllers, PIM’s, Point of sale units, access control readers and activity readers. This includes providing training and documentation of these devices.

Duties

This position is responsible for providing on-campus departments appropriate systems solutions for payment, access, entitlement and other forms of process automation.
Independently resolves routine and non-routine problems. Solves problems and perform diagnostics on software and hardware. Interacts with hardware and software vendors as appropriate to solve problems. Documents solutions that solve client’s problems and to clearly present these solutions. Integrates knowledge and skills from a wide range of technologies to address work assignments.

Required Competency Planning and Organizing
Duties

Organizes and follows complex and/or detailed technical procedures. Completes projects as assigned, interacts well with vendors and costumers.

Required Competency Communication Skills
Duties

This position serves as a liaison between OneCard and all vendors that uses the OneCard systems (Parking, Ticket Office, Book Store, Food Services, etc). Communicates with clients and higher-level specialist and analyst to resolve technical problems and ensure customer satisfaction. Position requires a professional and customer service orientation.
